Current Battery Died, Is same spec ok for replacement or something better needed?

Costco no longer offers a battery for e30's. The one I had from them with the 72 mo warranty gave up and the credit they offered me was about what the core charge was anywhere else.

I bought 3 from Advance this year by using a $35 online coupon then going to get it.

FWIW virtually all car batteries are made by either Exide, Johnson Controls or Interstate

I run 2 AutoZone batts made by Johnson controls. Had 1 go bad after a year and they replaced it for free. Other than that, I havent had a problem with them and AutoZone's are everywhere in socal. My only gripe is that they are getting expensive. Wal-Mart has some cheap batteries...wonder how long they last.

Why not just charge your battery back up? Roll start your car and go for a drive.

The Costco guy told me that since my battery said 4/11 (april 2011) and is from NAPA, I should go back and ask for exchange or pro-rate at NAPA...even without receipt...is that possible?

Also want to clarify, I have a 325iC, so the battery is in front with the engine, not in the trunk...does it make a different?

I went through 5 batteries in one year on my truck awhile back. The first 3 batteries went dead while trying to get multiple charging problems fixed. Then the other two were because I left the light inside the car on overnight. Walmart took everyone of them back, no questions asked.
