It is strange, but every one I have ever seen that was in any e30, was worn off.

Same here and it's not a button that anybody will use always like the windows button so that fade out quickly.

First time I see the "real" design of the circuit breaker switch though...interesting, I might buy a new one :) Although I never understood why BMW would fit that button in the coupes........

Well they also have a child safety button that shuts off the power to the rear window switches. but the breaker stops all power, so cinda different things there.

i have that small child safety button wired up in my vert to turn the power on and off to the antenna. that way i can listen to my phone through the radio without the whistling from the antenna being up.

Now that this is brought here, I wonder, what was/is the porpouse of that little "vent-grill" next to the temperature knob? I always wondered if there was a sensor behind it (when I was a kid) but never figured out for what was it.

How important is the circuit breaker? What is the main use for it in an E30?

My guess was always a mic grill of sort, for the old school hands free car phone ballers.

Yeah, you can see them in the FS section sometimes or by searching for new ones. It's a window with a lightning bolt across it. They fade more quickly because BMW used a different plastic for the surface of the button that gets dry and faded much more quickly than the other buttons.
