      I think it is a simple on\off switch to disable the electric windows and not a circuit breaker. It was probably mandated by the DOT along with child proof door locks...that most of us can't open :-)

                Well with my 4 door E36 switch swap I now have a ton of extra wire, the window lock switch and the circuit breaker tucked up under the shift boot... Needless to say, room is pretty tight down there.

                          hahaha, the good'ol window circuit breaker.
                          I've fallen prey to it before. (you push it, then realize later that your windows stopped working. then you press it and tell youself "WHAT A USELESS BUTTON!" hahaha
