Gonna keep my eye out for a e30 w/ some things I want already done but, the thought of having a built not bought is dancing around in my head. I drive it daily but it's not my only means of transportation. I sold my 540i and purchased a 750li. I will post pix of both later today...

Nothing like driving a stock, well maintained e30. Really, nothing like it.

EDIT: wow in 60 seconds 3 people said the same thing.

oh yeah, a completely clean stock e30 is nice if you like BODY ROLL.
no thanks.
especially since my other car is an rx8, i could not take the stock body roll. i felt like i was going to tip over. i bought brand new stock suspension for my ix. it was in for about 4 months. anyone want to buy it? 3000 miles! practically new.
bilstein hd/sport and h&r sports are an excellent addition to an e30.AWD > RWD

As much as I love e30's they do need modification to reach the level of performance I personally enjoy.
If it were me, I would sell the auto e30, add that to the $4k, and buy a well sorted s50 swapped carOriginally posted by bluntcan you get me a deal on cases of their (fiji) bottled water? i wash my 02 in that shit

As most know on this forum I am ALL about the suspension. I would take a proper built suspension over power everyday of the week.

Manual swap, fix what's glaringly wrong, suspension overhaul (if it fits your budget). That'll easily be 4k depending how you go about it.The first car I ever rode in was an e30
