I actually wonder why I get nearly zero looks/compliments on my E30. It is gutted with one recaro seat, big ol' tires, stock springs (4x4 status), and some stickers clearly hinting at its intent not to be a DD, and SUPER loud (mostly straight piped). It's set up for rally hooning. Unfortunately I have no recent pics.

However, I did get a note left on the windshield of one of my E28s offering to buy it, and I paid $250 for that E28, manual swapped it, chopped the springs, and slapped on E38 style 5s.

interesting topic, i do agree that it just stands out as most cars of that era do. especially when it seems to be taken care of and honestly they don''t even have to have alot of noticeable mods at all.

my story, car is in the shop my mechanic friend is helping me get the m cluster in along with a few other things. its surrounded by late model BMWs, early model porsches, Mercedes, luxury model cars a few restored mustangs and throughout the few days that it's there of the folks that come back to where we're working (customers) almost all of them just stop and look and comment and take a minute. it's pretty cool. i think i posted a pic of where it was in the official instagram thread
