Couldn't have been FWD because its a fiat based car. Also RWD sedan with 1.4 sounds like a joke where as coupe with Subaru boxer engine sounds interesting. Why is this thread worthy? Did any one expect this car to sale. Chrysler ruined its small car image a long time ago with K cars. They are literally the last manufacturer you think of when you think small car and this looks too much like a neon, a car every body hated, srt version aside. Honestly I still don't see whats so impressive about a FWD turbo neon. You can build a better car and start from a better platform, cheaper.
I hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.
It's hard to recover sales as a brand when you have a strong history, but turned to crap for a couple of decades. I'd imagine it's easier to recover when you start out crappy, and make an effort at improving.
I dunno, I have no idea why they had to make it gutless. GTI has been around for years and it blows the doors off this car without paying a whole lot more.
As soon as I saw the highest model was going to be sub 200 horsepower I was already in MEH land.
I haven't seen the build quality or sat in one so I can't comment on that but if I see this in the show room I won't approach it because it just doesnt look interetsing enough.
I take a FIAT 500 over this any day... because it looks cool.
ive driven a fiat 500 even with a little over 100hp its still fun and you can rev the balls off of it and still not do anything illegal , the dart I've sat in at the LA auto show, was a little too big for my taste but ill go test drive it to see how it goes but i do agree under 200hp for a hot small car is pretty weak

remember it was intentionally build to sell very cheap. Maybe do to the economy. But its a nice car for the parent looking for a car for their college student. Just like the civic was made for.
The biggest mistake was thinking they could sell a "kids car" by banking on a sweet retro name that has been out of production longer than the cars target demographic has been alive.
Also it may have something to do with being a fwd econo-shitbox with questionable quality of build.

exactly...when these auto companies have no discipline of failure, they aren't inclined to offer better cars the American people are willing to buy. They will just go back for another handout if sales aren't up to par.
