I used to drive through a summer camp down the road if I was out late with my buddy and blare the horn all throughout and take off. Good times. LOL
We also used to yell non sensical stuff at pedestrians.Estoguy

Drive my 2002 on dirt roads with bald tires sideways past people's houses spitting gravel into their lawns...
Drive my mother's Honda CRV to Seattle at 10pm in the pouring rain at 80mph on I-5. The car was hydroplaning and going sideways everywhere.
Attempt to drift said 2002 and smack into a curb pretty hard. Wrecked a basketweave in the process..
Drive the 2002 with a broken drivers side motor mount home... (New mounts just arrived today :) )
Edit: Here's a good one. First day I fixed the vacuum advance on the 2002 I decided to go onto some back roads and rev it up a bit because I could never really do so before. Found a nice straight and it was a small hill. Stopped and dumped the clutch in first, sideways in first I power shifted into second. Going into third I hit the top of the hill, Looked and saw a large group of people walking. Around mid 50's age wise. Thought I could tag redline in third and went past them balls out with the biggest grin that has ever been on my face... Stupid, but fun.-1976 2002 daily (Sold)

I can't come up with much, I was too broke, responsible and afraid. I needed my slow, boring, unreliable junk heaps to get me to work. The same basic reason I never do anything fun with my E30, its like I want to learn to drift and do burnouts and shit but I don't have the money to fix it and need it to get me to work.sigpic

My Jeep (the HEEP) is pretty fun though. Broke the engine mounts and the engine then pushed forward and broke the radiator with the fan. They did have 275K miles on them though...
It obviously had nothing to do with jumping it 3+ feet in the air.:nice: Or pinning the throttle into puddles that are 2+ feet deep @40+.Or driving across the field at speeds I used to ride my dirtbike at... I swear its smoother the faster you go
Cut swaybars off with grinder as it was faster than using a ratchet. Then proceed to do drifts and doughnuts with what feels like the front inside tire off the ground...
One night my buddy and I were tearing across my parent's field with the windshield covered in mud (couldn't see ANYTHING) and he started to get that worried look BC were hauling balls in the dark and he couldn't see anything!I knew where we were in the field but it was still funny as hell.

Yes, which is what advances the timing related to rpm.
The vacuum module adds an additional 15 or so degrees of timing during high vacuum situations like idle and part throttle cruising (highway).
2002 Ti and Tii do not have vacuum advance from the factory.Comment

When the snow has melted enough to where I can actually access my garage, I have a whole slew of stuff still done to my probe in there that I get to undo later this spring. Including:
Completely disabling the wastegate on the stock turbo. Several of them. 22psi from an IHI RHB5 VJ11? They don't like that.
Reverse glow guages (Bleh... Why did I do that?!)
Underglow, for 1 day. Removed those saying "Wow, I wasted money", sold them for more than I paid because they were sold out. (Random Bonus?)
I did do a lot to it that was very good too though, Including:
Full 2.5 Stainless exhaust.
In cluster radioshack bar meter Wideband
Rebuilt the ride control suspension.
Matching intercooler for turbo about to go in, an IHI RHB52 VF8 with a milled out stock turbine housing for bolt on goodness. (I give you subaru guys an official Pied de nez because I have not one but two VF8's, and you don't.)
Megasquirt (Still stock fueling)
Mfactory LSD. (NO BLOWN TRANSMISSIONS! YAY!!!) (Side note. I blew up 4 before doing this)
Findanza mated to a custom South Bend Clutch
I can go on, and with more to come.
Such is life though, you win some you lose some.Last edited by TurboJake; 03-09-2015, 11:44 PM.Comment
