Yeah I agree completely. Maybe something like an "overflow" tank that catches just enough for the judges to use but doesn't feed to the main tank or the pump. That way they can run the main tank dry and still have the required amount at the end to analyze.Leave a comment:

Yes, I understand the principle behind it, I wish they could use something less than a full liter though (or modify the capacity of the fuel cell.) That way, drivers can race the full distance, and not a fraction of it.Leave a comment:

From what I understand, it's so that the judges have enough fuel to analyze it for rule compliance after the race. They could get around this by regulating the fuel each team uses, like we did in Formula SAE, but there are still ways of cheating the system with that. ;)Does anyone on here understand why the FIA needs a full liter of fuel? This regulation seems to screw around with every other race when competitve drivers have to become uncompetitive to ensure they have an appropriate amount of fuel. It'd be nice if they could reduce this amount or simply make the fuel cells 1L larger to comply with regulations. Anyways, it's a shame when a 56 lap race essentially ends at lap 40-something because of a ridiculous FIA reg.Leave a comment:

...yowza, that was a wild race.
As a Vettel fan, it's a tad disappointing to hear that Seb made that pass when given direct team orders to conserve fuel and conserve his engine, but I don't agree with the blame being put on Vettel 100%. Judging from Vettel's final pass on Webber, Webber doesn't exactly leave the door open (which seems to contradict his "dial it back" defense,) refer to the video below:
Either way, Horner put it best, RBR was on point the whole weekend despite their struggle with tires. I imagine both drivers will receive a stern talking to. Mercedes was going through their own clusterfuck as well, one of the few times I felt bad for Rosberg (despite ten laps of bitching at Ross Brawn,) and even worse for Hamilton; if Hamilton didn't have to conserve fuel, I guarantee he would have taken the fight to both RBR's, but we'll never know.

Apparently Vettel messed that up. He was supposed to let Mark win but instead went ahead and passed him.Leave a comment:

F*ckin' Alonso... You dumb M-Fer! This race was crazy. All of the crap that happened in the pits. Hamilton nearly going in to the wrong pit area...WTF was that about? In fighting among teammates. But all in all...very entertaining.Leave a comment:

Massa over Alonso in practice 2? I'm a new fan but I kind of want to see Massa over 'Lonso as he just seems like a pouty little bitch. Hopefully Ferrari doesn't pander to him so much as to not give Massa the proper chance to do well.Leave a comment:

Just hope the safety car doesn't end up taking the checkered flag!Leave a comment:

The time sheets reflecting Lotus pace again this weekend but also Ferrari and RBR; Similar to Australia. Massa really strong out of the box this year. McLaren 1.3 off the pace. Williams... ugh, what a cluster! 2.2s off... Sauber pace also unfortunate.
Fingers crossed for a race half as exciting as Malaysia 2012!Leave a comment:
