Read that on the F1 website after. That's gonna make things pretty hectic there between quali and the race!

Dammit 'straya, now I have to change my DVR routine 'cuz ya rain didn't bugger off.

Edit: Oh yeah, and this guy is a massive asshole. I hope there are many stewards inquiries throughout the season for this crackpipe of a pay-driver.

So I don't know if it's just me here in NY or not, but the qualifying is currently being booted in favor of a league soccer game.

    ....Seriously?

I LOVED Vettel's new helmet, made to look like Felix Baumgartner's Stratos helmet, so sick!

As suspected, RBR is still the team to beat. McLaren looking rough.

This year will be a test for buttons ability to set up the car. An area he struggled with last year. McLarens new pullrod susp is going to really test him as they will no longer have previous settings to fall back and compare to.

I watched some of practice 2 last night, my months of withdrawl symptoms have quickly subsided :p

Knowing that the practice sessions are when teams are making adjustments to the car, I try not to put too much stock into what happens then as a measure of how the race may turn out. But a few observations.....

Ferrari look really strong so far - it will be great to see what kind of results that can achieve with this evolution of last years' car.

Mercedes also look strong, much more than I expected.

Red Bull is clearly maintaining their momentum - probably the car to beat this season.

McLaren clearly didn't have the pace, but again this was just practice. They've incorporated a new pull-rod front suspension, like Ferrari. It will be great watching these two squads duke it out.

What's with all the helmet changes. Damn its hard to tell hami from rosberg. Vettel looked like kimi. Perez looks like hami. Hami looked like schumi. What the hell.

At least button and weber kept their designs.
