I know when I was into e28's Bently was king, and when I switched to e30s I got an e30 bently too. Can't say I've ever looked at a Haynes though.

I've used Haynes and I have done basically everything there is to do on an E30. It's not as good as the Bentley but if you are a decent mechanic its definately good enough to give you a guideline and enough to get all the work done.

The Haynes is about half as thick and contains about half the info. Once you have the Bentley all else is useless.

Amazon sells it for very cheap, gonna buy the Bentley next month.

                Thanks for your input!

Dude, even if you worked at sub-way and only worked on the weekend, you should be able to buy both. I would recomned the Bentley but the haynes has stuff that the RB does not cover.

I prefer the Bentley over the Haynes. I have both and the Bentley is a lot easier to find what you need and their explanations are a lot more clear.

                        +1

I have both Bentley is closeby Haynes is at the bottom of a drawer. I look at B first if I don't find what I am looking for I look at H and usually it's not there.

                          What Parkerbink said

I too have the Bentley and the Haynes. Primary source is the Bentley with the Haynes as a backup in case Bentley doesn't cover it. But rarely have actually had to go to the Haynes.

I have both for my car and they are both alright, but the Bentley has more info. It's nice to beable to have a second opinion on how to do something though. Get the Bentley first and then maybe later pick up a Haynes.

I prefer neither. I just use a flat tip screw driver and a big ass hammer on everything. if it doesnt fix it, it sure will break it off!! I use the Haynes, and it works just fine for me. A E30 is a really simple car to work on. the only thing I used the manual for is tech. info-- torque specs, valve adj. shit like that. so i guess get the Bentley if others here say irts better though.
