And 2-point violations (which would put you half way there) arent that outside the realm of possibility if you have a dick cop who wants to put you down for lets say...exhibition of speed (2 points) AND participating in a speed contest (another two points) in the same tickets. Or if you werent racing with another car they can charge you with reckless driving (2 points as well) along with the exhibition of speed, and there my friend, you have a minimum 6 month suspension from the DMV regardless of what the courts say (which will likely only suspende it for 1-4 months depending on your previous record). Lets not even get into the DUI (2 points), or any other myriad of 2 point violations that you can get without even knowing. After your 2nd point, the DMV sends a letter warning you that youre starting to tread on thin ice.

Ask me how I know all this.
Yeah they tell you that you're a dangerous driver. Haha that hit the spot when I read the letter they sent me.

Im not dangerous, and have never been busted for the type of violations that are really rediculous like passing on the shoulder or running reds and stop signs, never gotten a ticket for disobeying a traffic signal or doing anything reckless other than speeding (of which I admit I risked getting punished for it and is illegal all the same). Not that thats anything better but I tend to think speeding is a lot less dangerous (due to a forced heightened awareness that should come with speeding) than running reds and doing 4 lanes-changes to exit a freeway w/o signalling when one doesnt read the signs and gets over with enough time. F it, just wait until the next exit and go back, its not that serious. Always use my signals (even in parking structures), and always check my shoulders and mirrors, and always stop for 3 senconds at stop signs. :) I will definitely join that club, though. :D My only really shameful act was drinking 2 40's and going to the doughnut shop around the corner for my friend and getting busted for D.U.I. and Im correctly ashamed and realize getting arrested can be a blessing because maybe I was saved from something worse or having someone else go through a worse experience. And its what cleaned me up, so I cant be too mad. It essentially did its purpose and got through to me. Now if I can only get the DMV to adhere to their word and the order of the court and give my license back to me like the court ordered them to do back in Oct '05.

No one stops for 3 seconds at stop signs at least on in California anyways. The only person I ever knew was the traffic school instructor. He said once he parked at a stop sign and watched 50 people go by: only one person came to a complete stop-him.

When I was 16 I drove home the same way from school through Beverly Hills and got a ticket three days in a row for "California roll" (not completely stoping for a stop sign) from the same damn cop. On the fourth day I went home another way!

In L.A. stopsigns are a suggestion!

                lol

I do. Not worth the pig fucking with me. When youve been through what Ive been through, youll understand. :) Either way, "stop" in the vehicle code is defined as a cessation of motion. And NO WHERE in the vehicle code does it say you have to stop for 3 seconds. Just food for thought. Ive gotten my brother off countless tickets that way. :)

Yeah, well, you can either learn up and be smart and learn from your experiences or continue to blame others and let your ignorance work against you. The cops know that most people dont know that there isnt a 3-second rule and that people will just pay the ticket due to ignorance and blind trust in authority (novel idea huh?) Ive seen that with LOTS of common citations issued. I just stop for 3 seconds cuz I dont want ANY contact with them or getting any hassle from them. Too many experiences, plus a lot of them know me. Not a good thing.
