Shocked at how many did not know this. Arrow points towards the engine always.
I cannot remember if the Bentley covers this. I learned it after I installed two in a row and called around to see what could be wrong.Leave a comment:

That's how my Guibo looked exactly after a 500 mile roadtrip after my 5-speed swap.
Thankfully, BMA insisted on covering the Guibo and Center Support Bearing by warranty even though it was installed improperly.
Needless to say, it was a free mistake I will never do againLeave a comment:

Just put mine on the other day. I was sure I put it on the right direction but I'm getting some weird vibration feeling under hard acceleration. I need to get under there and make sure I did it right.Leave a comment:

Guys, lots and lots of us change our vibration dampeners (giubos) every year. and nearly ever other time i dig into a car i see them backwards. This needs to become general knowledge. The arrows on a giubo need to point towards the mounting surface, not away from it. putting it on the wrong way will cause the it to die very fast and suddenly.
btw it's "giubo" not "guibo"
Wrong:

Doing it worng
Right:

Doing it right
after a few hard pulls it will look like this:
