What's your opinion on stance?

Thanks for the shout out IronFreak.
I honestly hate the word stance. That is for kids that lower beyond use. Yes mine is low...but it is purpose built. Wide tires that meet OE height specs, zero rubbing and enough clearance to daily drive in NY.

Nice meat, fills the wells, and they're even 18's. It's all about proportion to me and this car fits the bill more then most.

Yup, I have read his thread a million times. He actually bought it here, shipped it there, swapped it, ringed it, then shipped it back. That car has had an epic life so far!

I like:
Lowered euro cars with nice offset wheels. Correct fitting wheels with a decent amount of meat on the tires (like a mild stretched on 16s instead of rubber band on 17s. Springs with drop hats on an e30 is fine.
I can't stand seeing hella flush srt4s... Why turbo if u take 5 minutes to basically k turn over a speed bump.
I also can't stand when people first lower their car and hoot/hollar about how they lowered it... And then start the whole lowered swerving driving on things that you know 100% is clear able.

we used to say around here "your car as a nice stance" - meaning, the wheel gap was proportional, it didn't have a weird reverse rake or something, the tires looked like they fit, and the wheels weren't either sticking out 2" or sunken in. It wasn't a bad thing.
having busted up front body kits, dented fenders, missing trim, crap hanging all over the car, didn't count as "stance".

I would like to see these slammed cars come to Indiana and drive on our pothole infested roads. It will look like a scene from an action movie... their cars will jump into the air doing flips and shizz

A tech here at work wants to slam and stance his E38. I can't wait to see how stupid it looks.
I won't bust anyone's balls (too badly) if they know what they are doing, but when I see VW's flush with the ground without any regard to their oil pan and its reduced life span, I can't help but think to myself, "...why?"1989 325i - 2.7i, Holset H1C, 60lb injectors, whodwho MS-PNP.
