What's your opinion on stance?

The only time a stanced car pisses me off is when they slow traffic to get over a speedbump.

There is such a grey area in the word "stance." It encompasses the idiots that cut their springs and roll around on 175's on a 10" wide wheel and people like csermonet, that make a car visually appealing, all the while putting the effort into doing it correctly. However, whenever "stance" comes up people who hate it automatically assume everyone is in the first category which is down right false.

That is why I hate that word.

That goes for every thing tho. There always somebody who can't afford to do it right so they do what they can, no matter what it is.

I hate you all... Its all about how you do it. Stiff springs and proper valving. Both of these cars have full shock travel and handle great. With my m20 it never hit the ground ever.

I could pick at it, but that's like what, 2% of "stanced" type cars?

it really looks like what we would have considered a "euro" style car 10 years ago - low ride, wide lips, stretched tires, otherwise clean/stock looking.

You know what's really hilarious? Stanced semi-trucks. yes, I've seen a few around here, being used as work trucks. I guess I can see the benefit (lowered cab I imagine, a "low boy" if you will) - less air drag, possibly better fuel economy. It just seems funny that somebody would actually slam a semi truck that they use in real life!

Geez, what a can of worms!

Im a car guy so if its up in the air or lead sled low...its all good to me. Propotional is more what I would call "stanced". If we go my the modern interpretation of the word stanced, then not a fan of tucked rears and untucked fronts...unless the cars has wheel skirts (old school). All three of my BMWs scrape speedbumps but I am no where to being stanced, just well balanced.

Now, my e36, I wouldnt mind a bit lower but I feel like I should have someones sisters jeans on with white sunglass and a hoodie when driving it. The scene has been a turnoff even though I personally like the look the car has low.

But, to each thier own. There is a difference to being stanced and slammed too.

the stance argument reminds me of something I noticed in middle school, that the girls whose legs looked really good in jeans were really disappointing in skirts.. but the girls with a little more in the way of actual flesh looked good in jeans had fantastic looking bare legs.
