its not uncommon to find chipped dme's, these were a popular tunning car in its time.
Rd, Hartge, Alpina, just a few "official" tuners known to tinker back in the day,....swappable parts and goodies most certainly found their way to other unsuspecting cars.
Ive found a few chipped dme's in the scrap yard in e30's that you would think were stock just from the looks.
