best way and easiest way to get power?

hey I'm new to this forum. I just wanted to get some peoples opinions on ways to make power out of the 325 eta motor or is it just better to swap a m50 into it. I was thinking about buying a 325i head and thicker head gasket and building the head then eventually turboing it.

That is the best and easiest way.

If you will be happy with 300-400hp, just turbocharged the m20. M50 swap isn't worth it. Given the cost of s50's that's hardly worth it either in my opinion. Neither swap will give u 300-400hp either, without some serious mods.

what mods to engine [o-ring block, rods, rocker arms, head studs, cam, etc] are needed to get 300+ hp?
i'm thinking there is the cost of the turbo, header, exhaust, intercooler, chip, injectors, cooling system.....is that about it?
i've heard you can basically get double the stock M20 hp [to the wheels about 150hp] to 300hp [to the wheels] for 4grand...is that about right?
            thanks

Do I need to build the bottom end at all? And if I do build the head what should I change?

You don't need* hd rockers or o ringed block to get to 300+ hp... Recommended yes but not required.

I'm currently at 330whp on a basically stock (but completely rebuilt, rockers, springs, bearings, rings.. Etc) motor with the accepting of arp head studs. It's all in the tune, good tune and things won't blow up.

Go drive on ice or snow, your car will instantly feel like +500hp, this is r3v proven.

I'm actually surprised more people don't try NOS.

                          This.

                          Best bang for buck IMO.

I may have to slam some on the M60 when I get it done. ^_^

Also, for the record, "NOS" is a brand of nitrous oxide induction products, not the gas itself (N2O)

Turbo M20. Since you have the eta, slap an I head and other components on it and then boost it.
