Just bought my 1988 325 with an immaculate body and paint, all original, and withing the last month I have received at least two dings, and I will park away from all the other cars...

There have been a few times that I noticed new dings and scrapes, and the paint left on my truck matched the car next to me and returned the favor x10.

The best is when I was leaving a store, I had got several text messages. When I got in my truck I started it and was reading them while it warmed up. Must have been atleast two minutes. Mind you, my truck is rather loud.

As soon as I start backing up, BOOM. I stop and then realize that the dumb bitch next to me had slung her door open hard enough to bounce off my truck twice. She threw her hands up like I had drawn my weapon on her (even though I didnt, must have been the look on my face) then she got out and quickly walked inside the store. No apology, nothing. I checked my fresh damage to my door, and grabbed a bolt and gave her door a 6" long scrape that went to the metal.

I havent even left the e30 in a public parking lot since I have painted it
Why wouldn't you simply get her insurance information and pursue it as a claim? I don't think it'd be any different than her backing into your car.
The first car I ever rode in was an e30

Because I didn't have the time that would require, and I hate filing claims.

the owner of an automotive shop was examining my close-to-the-fender wide front tires, talking about aren't you worried about chipping the paint with rubbing, then proceeding to take his finger and check the lip and pulled off a big chip of paint! he didnt say sorry or anything just pretended like nothing happened.

instead of retaliating in person and making a big scene, i decided to just shit on his company/him every chance i got telling the story to local people. hopefully, he lost business for it.

Google reviews would be a good way to get the news around. Most people read the reviews online and I think folks take them pretty seriously.

I had a good body for a long time, then in a parking lot in California I got a huge door ding from a blue car right on the horizontal body line. No cars next to me when I came back. I wonder what people are thinking when they do it.

They are thinking "did I just hit that car with my door?" "eh, oh well."

Same kind of thing happened to my Dakota, except it was in the middle of a wide flat body panel. I don't even know what kind of door would do only the tiny spot like it did.

Took to PDR and they told me to have it fixed by a regular body shop. The dent was deep enough where it created a pull in the body line 8+ inches above it. Ended up being a $1500 insurance claim. Fuckin assholes
