    I passed CA smog

I just wanted to share this because I am FUCKING excited about it. I passed CA smog at a STAR station. Yes a legit smog check. When I got my registration renewal it said I had to go to a STAR Station. I thought I would be screwed. I bit the bullet and took it in. I was a bit surprised with the results:

The smog tech said it was cleaner than his E39. I didn't do any prep other than change the plugs this morning. No additives or anything like that.

    Car specs:
    1987 325is
    Mileage: 218027
    Stock exhaust/original catalytic converter
    AEM wideband sensor
    M50 green top injectors
173 DME and WAR chip (91 oct tune)
Newly replaced spark plugs (copper +)

So apparently a 325is has a single exhaust and weighs 3300lbs

I always hate getting smog. Luckily I don't have to till next year.

Mine also needs smog, but I'm too worried to take it.

Oxygen is kind of high though if I'm not mistaken. Really clean numbers...congrats.

The slightly high O2 could be a slightly lean condition or a vacuum. Leak. I don't think I have a vacuum leak since I messed with the WAR chip tune.

Man, such a huge difference between STOCK vs Magnaflow CA legal cat... I BARELY passed HC at the absolute maximum with a brand new magnaflow cat/o2 sensor/oil/filter/plugs/gaskets/vacuum lines. Rest of the numbers were GOOD.

huh? the 325i has two pipes from the manifolds all the way back. that's definitely a "dual exhaust".
