Only reason to go a little sideways over speedbumps are to protect those stiff front OEM mudflaps IMO

OEM front flaps scrape everythinggggggggg if you're lowered.
Mine are shaved diagonally from it and regret not taking them off sooner ):

Yeapp, but oem mudflaps look so awesome. Gotta remember to check those damn clips often after the abuse they take

Hey crawling over speed bumps works... I used to take speed bumps head on till I bottomed out twice and my frame rails told me to slow down and take it like a midget going up steps.

I just park my car at the bump and walk from there. Just turn it off, get out, and walk.

tell that to my m50 oilpan without a scratch on it....if you litterally went over a speedbump sideways yea, you would hit your pan you cant possibly drive that sideways over a speed bump without ice and handbrake action.

I too hit my frame rails more than my pan(never) or lip(semi-often) on speed bumps, I dont think the OP is being too redic. I always thot some delrin sliders on the rails would be cool. Guess it's pointless.
