Junk yard find, worth buying & parting?

OP just buy it and do whatever you want with it. But we would all prefer that you don't junk it if you decide to part it out. You'll be able to return a nice profit. But I think the general consensus is that there won't be much profit in rebuilding it and selling it.
Or just save it and keep it just to have it. because e30's are awesome and I would have 15 of them if I had space.

Just take parts from it and leave it alone. There is no real money in parting it out or flipping it, especially if you don't have a strong community around you. I'm sure 800 is close to bottom for them, they probably payed 500 for it. Buy it and fix it up if it sounds like fun to you, getting an e30 back to life is always a good thing but don't do it for money because it just wont be there.

if he fixed what was wrong with this car, it still has a clean title and would likely command the same price as a comparable car (mileage, options, condition) on the market.
is it really a matter of where the car has been and what condition it was in in the past? if anything, i'd respect a seller more for saving a car as opposed to parting it out.

missing fog lights and lip which was probably destroyed by a fork truck. If you plan on driving it you may want to confirm no damage has occurred underneath as they really manhandle the cars sometimes with the forks. I would also say the catalytic converter has been cut out which is another loss of over $150 in scrap value. Your leverage is n the fact that no BMW's are in the area, if a scrap yard can't move parts the car is worth nothing more than scrap value which is about $275-300 plus the cat, another 150 (gone), then wheels $70 (scrap, gone too). So if they get $500 its better then the $275-$300 they are looking at now.
IF cat is still on the car and you get it for $500, its a real score cause your looking at having $350 in once you scrap the converter.

You won't make money shipping parts. Especially not to e30 folks. There's only a few things on the car worth more than $80. The motor is toast, the trans isn't more than $100. After all your hard work you'd be lucky to break even considering your time to pick shit apart.
Fact: if you buy the car whole, it's not worth it to part it out and try for profit.
If you buy it, fix it, keep it, swap it, enjoy it and then sell it.
If not, I'm still Trina get dem parts breh
