That is not crap sir, that is a junkyard car moving tool. one of those on the Jersy barrier the cars sitting on and some wheels to throw under after it's lifted makes for easy pulling of engines out the bottom.


But I agree on the side of the road I use my real jack as I have had a car fall off the stocker before

Removing or installing a tranny - you'd be fighting gravity in two directions.

thats exactly what i was thinking, yeah it may give you more room to work on the underside, but now you're not just pushing the part straight up, its gotta go forward and up. Not to mention the engine/tranny is now at a weird angle with the car instead of hanging as far away from it as possible.

god, the moment that one poor rear wheel, its gotta be doing something bad back there.

bottom line, jackstands look much safer and more useful.

Eh diff fluid coming out the vent, same for tranny, possible engine oil leaking out of a breather.

I think this is exactly what would happen, would take an average-not-so-anal of a person a day or two to realize the leaks.

There was a bolt- to- the hubs version posted over at the 2002faq that looked a LOT beefier
(and more useful) (and safer) than that...

I would buy one just so I could scrub the living crap out of the underside. Not doing that before putting my cabrio back together has bugged me since day one.
