Pretty stoked about this little gem. 07 Focus (19 years newer than my e30!) SES sedan with auto (needed for my commute) and full load EXCEPT sunroof and leather (not a fan of leather on these cars anyway, we had an 03 that had them and it was slippery as heck?) At least the cloth is heated too. Gotta love cars with good WORKING A/C!. In our family We've owned three of these (03, 05, a 97 Escort, and now this). A couple of the common problems on them are batteries and alternators. I made sure to check them before purchasing, and both tested good according to my multimeter.

Made the deal yesterday. all this talk of having to pay 12% tax on used cars in BC really scared me, so I went in there and did a deal including tax and the 495 doc fee.
paid 6000 all in. The car has a new set of winter tires on it that'll be coming off asap so I can get some all seasons on it (This is a commuter car meant for around town, I'm not that concerned handling too much). I;ll sell em on CL. I'm sure I can find someone who wants em for something this fall
According to VMR canada, the car is valued at 7400 wholesale and 9700 retail with the features and mileage I have
Just so glad to get something newer that I don't have to care about maint. aside from fluid changes. Gonna swap out the ATF, PS brake fluid ASAP and start running full syn in everything. I'm sure it'll help the car last a while, even tho I only plan on having it for a couple of years. I know it's overkill as I could easily get away with engine oil changes only during that time, but I have this real illness where I have to over-maintain my cars. I know, it's a waste of time and money, but I like to think I'm getting peace of mind
Maybe a set of rally-style splash guards, and some yellow fog light bulbs? I think it would look good on a black car.
Ugh, so nice to not have to deal with real repairs for a while! Gives me time to focus on more important things in life.
Here's to cheap daily drivers that get the job done!:beerchug:
