              Good luck with it, Luke.

I'm not big on car audio stuff - hell, my stock deck is "code" locked and I am getting another one with the code to replace it. I still have cassettes in my house.

Make sure you keep clean books for the tax man and if you haven't already - incorporate or LLC it.

Well, since there are so many dealers for so many alarms on the web who don't work on cars for a living, I would probably buy from them...but I could do $175 shipped in the US for the nice twin 2 way job.

I bet you could find the same system for a better price on the web, though.

Install is not that hard...if a R3V'er comes down for an install of this system, they can take pics and we will make a page.

I just have a hell of a time stopping to take pics.

$300 installed for R3Vers on these...in an E30. Remote start, locks, flash, donelight surveillance, hood pin if you want it. Full featured...horn honk if you want that too. Door LED's for an extra $75. Otherwise, one on the dash.

                    Turbo timer function, too.

Oh yeah, manual trannys PM me before you even think about it.

I just don't wanna hawk my wares here until I can sponsor too. 'S rude, ya know?

                    Luke

You will want to get it installed proffessionally... its a MAJOR bitch... messing with electronics splicing wires... I started then for the sub $100 general asking price of an install I changed my mind fast...

I know a guy in Winston that does a GREAT job...

Luke, I would love to have you install my alarm but thats not really feasible :) I just don't trust the jockies at Best Buy or Circuit City... I know they can do it but they are almost always hacks. For someone that has never installed an alarm, but is very comfortable with wiring (dad is an electrician) how long do you think one of these would take to install? I don't need the remote start function :)

                              Are the included instructions good?

TJ, go buy a set pf crimpers. I recommend Channel Lock brand. Home Depot, $20.

The instructions are basically useless. But, regardless of where you buy an alarm, you got me.

The basic system is about $80 shipped, without remote start. I will put in a tech sheet showing all of the wires you need to get to, plus you will have my phone numbers. It really is hard for me to say how easy or hard it is. I am 42 and have been doing this professionally since I was 17...I really don't remember life before 17.

I am interested in a web site...I kinda expect my son to get busy on this, but he is 14 and lazy. I signed up for that 7Mb DSL, should be going by 2/16. Now I gotta learn what to build to host. I own a copy of UBUNTU, which calls itself "Linux for Human Beings"...was thinking my PIII 866 with some decent RAM would allow me some to rock a decently quick site.

Man, I gotta get my car back on the road...it feels like spring!
