    thats not cool at all..

"Witnesses said a red BMW and a black Toyota Scion were racing southbound along Coal Creek Road when the BMW crossed the center line and sideswiped a maroon Subaru, then hit a silver Volkswagen and burst into flames

"Unfortunately, the driver was stuck in the vehicle in the fire," said Michael Chiu with Bellevue Police Department. "

The 16-year-old driver of the BMW died inside his burning car."

That is awful, bot in no way should the driver of the yota be held responsible. Not like he forced this 16yr old kid to "street race" in mommys bimmer.

This is old news, 16 year old racing his buddies in his new to him E36 M3. Sad to see him lose his life over something so stupid. In the PNW forum on DTMpower, you can a few of his friends posting the background story.

They were friends, and they were racing. WA is cracking down on the streetracing with stiffer punishments and more prosecutions.... and since he was participating in the event, he is equally responsible. The innoncent bystanders are the people in the Beetle. I'm sure if he can prove he wasn't racing his friend, it will come out at the trial, not on a news story.

MEh, either way, if they were racing they both agreed to do so. If it was me and my friend, and i was killed. I wouldnt want him to go to jail becuase of my own actions.

Same this is being done in my neck of the woods. Just last week, two cars were racing during the morning hours down a busy street where speeding is quite common. One car was a 'Stang 5.0 and the other was a Honda. At any rate, the driver of the 5.0 lost control and skid sideways into a tree....directly against the driver's side door. He was killed instantly. The guy in the other car fled the scene, but a witness followed him and contacted the cops. This other driver was arrested at his work and yesterday had his day in court.....he's being charged for his involvement for the crime. Jail time is a given. Below is a link to the news story....
