The Getrag 260 was mated to engines that produce 127-168hp/164-170tq. It's been proven to handle 400+ hp.

Are those turbo m20 swedes with 600hp using the 260?

Definitely get into turbo charging, m10/m20s love FI.

Was there actually any damage, or just a tire bounce and a bruised ego?

1-It is BMW's best selling US model, ever. As far as I know at least.
nope.. E36 outsold it by several hundred thousand (2,339,251 vs 2,745,773).

[QUOTE=Low Level E30]Find out how many ping pong balls fit inside an E30.

It's actually easy - using cabin dimensions, calculate the cabin's volume. Determine the radius of a ping pong ball and calculate the ball's volume. Divide that into the the cabin's volume.

          Thats wrong.

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.

No damage at all it seems, and I've been monitoring for vibrations and the like. As for a damaged ego? I'd like to see your car get over that curb. Didn't think so.

                      fun fact about tourings:

(you should research this to get the accurate version)
But i've heard that one of the design engineers of the e30 was sad that he couldn't buy the product he helped design because of his wife's pregnancy. She wanted him to have a bigger car and the e30 sedan wasn't cutting it. So he went back to the drawing board and constructed the e30 touring out of mostly all TUV approved glass and other pannels to get quick approval from the goverment. BMW where so thrilled by the design they decided to produce it only one year later.

                      another about the 324td:
its the fastest diesel of the 1980s and is one of the first cars to use drive-by-wire (top speed 188 kph)

of course you should mention the BIMMER/BEAMER diffrence

BMW e30m3 racing pedigree is a must as well

                      oh
the 325ic was the first post wwII convertible made by BMW

def. talk about about DOT (bumpers/lights/etc)

finish off with the community/following behind these cars

                      good luck,
                      Julien

I dont really understand that story bout the touring. Its not any larger, just a little bit more trunk room, totally screwed by the taillights not lifting with the rear hatch! maybe so he could put one of the german monster 4x4 strollers in the back???
gotta lover the tourings though- thats why i got my first, the vert had to go cause it is a "german law" that once you have a kid on the way, you MUST have a station wagon!
I agree with telling more about the racing history of the M3, but I am a bit prejiduce

I'd take the opportunity to learn something new (and not automotive related) ... but that's just me ... and it's not helping you.

Fun fact from a BMW Tech:

M20 was derived from BMW's V12. The V12 (M70) was designed before the gas crisis of the 70s, and when the top brass at BMW realized that V12s wouldn't be popular (due to the V12s 5.0L thirst), BMW decided to hack off a bank and develop the M20 out of it.
