You may want to consider having them redone. The guy I'm learning from does orthopedic seats for people, I'm sure there's someone near you who can also. Cost is the same as new seats and it'll be tailored exactly to your body type and support needs. Might be worth checking out?

I don't know what the mkII Recaros are like but I imagine them to be fairly firm, you might try an e30 sport seat anyway just to see, mainly because they're cheap and already fit, they're very comfortable seats. They are not actually Recaro so they'll be a little different. Although they are still a bit on the narrow side so depending on how much "back" she's got they might not work.
Or even e36 sport sport seats. They seem a little more relaxed for every day driving than e30 sport seats but still offer a lot more support than the worthless comfort seats.sigpicComment

Well I did get out to a Sparco dealer yesterday and i was able to try out everything. The only seat I was really impressed was the EVO II fixed back. I was tempted and prepared to shell out $800 for a seat, but something held me back. Perhaps its my notion there is something "douchey" with a fixed back in a DD. also, my concerns for comfort on a 4-5 hour road trip I like to take every couple months.I love that people ask stupid questions so I dont have.Comment

Try getting yourself into an Evo X, they come with very nice Recaros, not sure of the seat model number but they can be had used fairly reasonably, plenty of support.PBMW Magazine. PVW Mag

Seriously though, consider getting in/out of the seats when you're looking. I have a Sparco Sprint 5 and it's a pain in the ass to get in and out of because of the sides, and because it's so low. The Evo seems to be pretty close to the same shape.
I've heard a lot of bad things about the quality of Corbeau, I considered them when I was looking because they're fairly affordable but general consensus from people who actually had them was they're gonna fall apart.
Have you looked at OMP? I sat in one when I was looking that was ~$400 and it was very comfortable, just passed on it because the harness holes were too low for me. Not exactly the prettiest seats though.Last edited by cferb; 09-01-2013, 04:33 PM.sigpicComment

IMO Corbeaus are really uncomfortable. Maybe it was just the ones I sat in, but they use a very hard seat cushion. I would stick with something like Recaro or Racetech. I could sleep in a Racetech.-AlexComment

I love my Recaros, they are awesome and I can drive for hours in them. Long trips are like relaxing the whole way. No back pain or numb butt. I love my MOMO fixed back, but that is a different seat for another style.
