'70s rides, decade of disaster or delight?

Maybe that should be Afternoon Delight, if anyone can remember that popular Starline Vocal band song? Lol. Cars from that time can get a bad wrap, but there were some worthwhile things from those days like GM's radial tuned suspension (RTS) and ESC ignition, and some interesting rides. What notable cars can you think of from those years? :)

That Mazda Rotary article was pretty cool; not nessicarily "more efficient" but I can dig it

The 2002 and the E9 were both early 70s, any 70s Porsche is cool, ford of Europe made some pretty damn cool cars in the 70s. You had the Datsun 240z and 510 which are both really cool. Ford made the Mach 1 fastback mustang from 1969 to like 1978' there's a bunch of cool cars from the 70s early 70s especially

Well TECHNICALLY, the 2002 and E9 were 60's design cars, but they did extend into the early 70s

I really loved Datsuns of that era though. 510s and 240zs were awesome, still want to own some one day

A lot of fantastic cars were made from 70-73. There was the 240z (my personal fav), 510, 911, 2002, E9 (as mentioned), Bavaria, Pantera, various muscle cars, Chevy/GMC trucks, and the Celica just to name a few. And a lot of them went to shit in 1974.
