Head to a junkyard, find an '85 Lincoln Mk7 or Continental diesel, snatch the turbo from that and you have yourself a diesel E30.

4bt is way to loud for a road going car, its a good motor but for the best of both worlds OM606 is best diesel motor out there IMO.
4-600+HP while getting 40+MPG with out breaking a sweat on a stock motor and quiet as a mouse as far as diesels are concerned and silky smooth.

Many people have done the swap and the M21s came in e30s over in Europe. 324td's .
Where I work , we maintain what I can only imagine is the only running 524td in Rhode Island .its slower then the 528e. Parts are expensive ,it's bullshit, it's overly complicated , it's retarded, its less reliable then the 528e(he has one of those too) . Swap in a VW TDI or a OM606 If you want reliable diesel power.1985 325e M50TU(Sold)
