OP I'd recommend doing the rebuild yourself. It only took me about an hour to do all four corners, and that includes the time I spent painting them...-Alex

"Guide bolts 100% tested for function, straightness and alignment"
Personally, I wouldn't replace the caliper unless the piston was scored badly and needed to be replaced. At that point, it's probably worth it to just get a rebuild as the piston is a critical component. Guide bolts...not so much."I'd probably take the E30 M3 in this case just because I love that little car, and how tanky that inline 6 is." - thecj

I don't think Blunt's were as much as the NuGeons. they're also nicer too - I think they come with some sort of paint, the NuGeons are just bare steel and rust immediately.
I've also had 2 sets of NuGeons seize up after a year or two. that cost me a set of cooked brake pads.
I know they're easy to rebuild (I've done it before) but the cost difference isn't significant enough to me. Especially since the caliper also comes out of the box clean and painted, all I have to do is bolt it up. I don't know if they came with new guides - they looked new to me?

Its hardly even worth the time to diy, just pull them out of the box and throw them on the car.
The HPS arent going to rip your face off, ever. Lol. By the time you've got them hot, they overheat and you'd be better off with bars of soap.1986 Plymouth Horizon. Base.

You can get rebuilds from Derpazone for like $50 a peice . Or any local parts store really. I would of rebuilt mine but my bleeders were both snapped.
All I've read are bad things on the Hawk HPS for this car , I got some StopTech Street performances for like $45 on the internets.1985 325e M50TU(Sold)

I rebuilt one of my front calipers and got one reman. Only did the rebuild on the one as I couldn't get both side e24 calipers through my suppliers. I then proceded to buy the wrong seal kits (Derp) thinking since I have e30 M3 suspension and brakes I needed the seals for the same, forgetting that I had gotten 635 calipers (Larger piston). So after all that I had spent like $40-$50 more on the reman caliper, not thinking of my time to fix my mistakes and then the thing rattled around because the guide pin bushings were worn to shit and I can't run rattle clips with my wheel setup.
Ended up fixing that with Turner brass guide pin bushings.
Basically, rebuilding them yourself isn't really worth it unless you just want something to do. Buying rebuilds saves you time and you get everything done for you, no messing around with broken/seized bleeder screws, etc.For all things 24v, check out Markert Motorworks!Originally posted by mbonanniI hate modded emtree, I hate modded cawrz, I hate jdm, I hate swag, I hate stanceyolokids, I hate bags (on cars), I hate stuff that is slowz, I hate tires.
