    So you are the guy that bought the sin city cabrio.

    I don't know what to tell you about bar referees, but since you put 18.5 into the car already, I suggest going full monte.

    Why not look into an s62 while you are at it? 400 stock hp is better than 270ish. I would certainly go BMW v8. Please don't do an ls/x swap. It is so cheesy. Start reading the threads in the v8 swap section.

    There is a member here named frank macaluso who actually wrote a BMW v8 to e30 swap guide. It is very comprehensive and well worth the 40 bucks or so that it costs.

    I actually have an s62 that I am swapping into an m3 cabby recreation. Myself and others have already done a good deal of research for you.

      No definitively no GM motors... S62 does sound like fun but I need to know more about the actual bar referees before I decide. Anyone done any of these swaps and has it legally registered in Cali?
