The cars are easy to work on and reliable. They are cheapppp. The Spec Miata class is sick competition.

Oh yeah, they also won't swap ends in the wet like a MkII MR2...

Do you have any more information about that car? I was trying to show some people how you can make a Miata look insanely mean.

The Miata really seems like the right choice for us.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

If you like the M42 - you will love the Miata. They are fantastic cars and tons of fun. I know - I have been driving one as a daily driver for 10 years now. Used to track it too - but moved to a super-7 - about the only way to go up from a Miata as a track car without blowing an aweful lot of money.

As for the people that will not drive one because they think it labels their sexual orientation - maybe it is time to address these insecurities... - you go one way or another regardless of what you drive - and if what people think about your vehicle is so important - the problem is not the car...

My dad drives a miata. Seems great, though I can't even think of driving it due to my height (6'5"). Nice, peppy 4 cylinder.

As for the 240SX, the aftermarket is pretty good. But at least around here, Miatas are everywhere which drives down the prices. I saw a hardtop NA for sale on the side of the road last week for 1200 bucks. 240SX's are commanding a premium right now cause of the dorifto scene, and most of them aren't in such great condition (rust, body damage, sloppy turbo setups or engine swaps, etc)

looks like some fender flares and some kind of pop up headlight removal kit to me. If your not stuck somewhere like MN where they're super overpriced (not nearly as common around here), buy one! I always look at them online in like CA and see old ones with ppl asking like 1500 bucks...

and yeah 240s are overpriced. I bought one to make some money at an auction. It barely ran, the floor was rusted through on the passenger side, had a big ass dent and I sold it for 1400 bucks to the first kid that looked at it.. it was an 89 and it looked like shit too
