Someone in CO should buy this

Always really liked these damn things.

Handle terribly and look even worse, but there is something super appealing about them.

I remember driving a friends Taurus...it sucked ass as a performance car. Granted it wasn't a SHO but it's still a Taurus. Way too heavy, fwd, etc.

Had a buddy that had this exact car.

That engine.... but throw the rest in a monochrome '80's dumpster.

my friend has an '89 with about 280,000 miles on it, original engine (never opened up). still runs well, but the car falls apart around the drivetrain. that and Ford purposely gimped the motor so it wouldn't be faster than the Mustang. The exhaust manifold literally takes a 90 degree L right as it enters the exhaust.

most of them were also automatics, the manuals were much better.

I wonder if you could bolt that up to a t-5 or tko transmission. open up the motor and let it rip in a rwd car. that would be a blast.

Just goes to show, that the fastest cars aren't always the prettiest.

Ugh, Taurus. The musty-est car my parents ever owned. Hated that thing. I wouldn't hate it any less even if it was a sho.
