Seriously, whats up with my 325?

Even if your car were a 325i it would fall off at 6k, and it falls off hard. It still makes a lot of noise though, which makes it seem like its making power.

That car has a eta intake manifold which leads me to believe it is just a super eta.

ok, so one can expect a seta to pull to 6k easily?

did you see the vid tho? because it clearly shows it hitting 6k no problem.

I don't think you are understanding what I am saying.

A 325i will easily spin to 7k (though it might break a rocker arm in the process).

The motor isn't making any power up there though. It's not like the engine starts slowing down once you make it to 6k, it simply stops making power.

FrankenE30. Well you can write it off as an i engine, because it doesn't pull nearly as hard, nor does it sound as good. You may just have a tweaked eta.

you guys ready to be confused? i pulled the cam cover for a valve adjustment and found that it has dual valve springs already installed. wtf??? anyways, i dont know what kind of cam is in it, how can i tell? it looks like the headwork may be done for me and all i have to change is the intake manifold and throttle body.

find the part number on the camshaft

the only #'s i found were 2, 218, and 662.

oh and it has a cast cam gear and not the stamped steel one.
