Finally i figured out that i have an aftermarket cylinder head from this company called "AMC". they make new castings for alot of cars. apperently they ordered a "i" cylinder head with dual valve springs and "i" cam, it also has a 153 ecu already installed. so all that work was done for me. the only thing left for me to do was to change the intake manifold to an "i" unit. well after all that fiasco i am left with my 2.7 litre super ITA.

    Before:

    During work:

    "i" intake and throttle body:

    Finished Product:

took it out for a test drive and it idles like butter with the valve adjustement and 19 lb injectors. it pulls like hell all the way to the limiter but the tach goes nuts after it hits 6k. lol stupid super eta cluster. oh and my muffler doesnt like 7k rpms as it just blew more holes in it.

Looks like one of them "spanish" heads, which had a bad rep back in the day. Anyway, 325i cams are ink stamped with the letter "K".

shit, cant remember if there is an ink stamp or not. im gonna have to pull the valve cover to repaint. so ill check again. i doubt a "e" cam will pull to 7 k tho.

It still seems down on power compared to an M20B25. What diff are you running?

If you have a 2.93 rear end that that's pulling pretty good. Bet it would rock with a 3.73.

It would rock, my friend put my old one in his eta while he was rebuilding his other diff. It pulled but highway driving was pretty ooc, his revs were too high at 80mph.

Mine does okay with a 2.93. I wouldnt mind a 3.46 or something. Id probably be going after m50s by then.

no doubt, and so is my eta, so I would be able to keep up.

A 3.46 or a 3.73 would probably do you a lot of good.

You would love a 3.73 read diff. Pretty easy to find too.
