I FINALLY got a quote from insurance. They told me $1760 and the car is theirs, or $1320 and I keep the car. HELL NO. Just went onto autotrader and quickly documented a few late models going for $5k+ and e-mailed it to the insurance company. Hopefully they will come around.

Depends on if she's a bagger, I'd say. I mean, if you've gotta keep your eyes closed to tap that it's not really repaying a debt, is it?

Then again, if daddy is rolling in money and mom is a bagger you know he's got a hot mistress on the side... gotta go with that

Fyi when they smashed mh 318is, the wanted the exact same model as reference and need public/reputable site at the time there was only 1 in the whole us on any of those sites. (cars.com/autotader etc.. not craigslist or any fourms) and even with 4k+ of recent maintenance and upkeep receipts. They still would only agree on 2100 and i get to keep the car and title stays the same after negotiations (didnt want to spend the money and time for an appraiser) and yes my car was a tad more ugly than yours but with nearly the same damage. So yeah there hitting a bit low.

The insurance company the person who hit me used accepted Craigslist ads.

Debatable. Had there been a name instead of "the person who hit me" there wouldn't be an of either.

"The insurance company Andy used accepted Craigslist ads."

I guess it could go either way lol

You can get all those parts used for a lot less than 1300. You get to keep your car and a little cash let over, and they dont have to go through insurance.

Where? I run appraisals on a regular basis and they are always between $380-475.

                        Maybe it's a California thing.

tell your friends mom to fucking pay for it, WTF! or tell her insurance too. She's old and a woman, for some reason they get cheap insurance and if it's her first accident they forgive it and don't raise.

Welp, because I didn't submit models that weren't the exact year, model, and mileage as mine, they threw all my examples out. I asked them how many e30s they looked at to determine my apprasial. a whopping TWO e30s! And they were able to make an accurate appraisal. Oh yea, another thing I forgot to mention, my friend's parents are friends with someone who works at the insurance company, and apparently she told the parents I was "screaming and cussing out the emplpoyees" and "attempting to rip off the company" so now I'm not allowed at my friend's house anymore. Are they even allowed to discuss things like that. Seems like there should be some confidentiality or something.
