    Flat black e30's

The "tell me what you think" post and another post I was checking out on e30tech got me thinking. I have a buddy who is a big hotrod guy. He has a 29 model A (for sale if anyone wants one) and a 31 Essex with a hemi in it. Both cars are painted flat black in classic rat rod fashion. I've seen a couple flat black mk1 Vdubs and they look sick. Have you guys seen many flat black e30's? I'm not talking shit rattle can jobs, I mean well done examples? I'm thinking I may be pulling my motor in the near future and what better time would I have to paint the engine bay. If I'm going to change the color I might as well do it then. Let me know what you think.

It may be a shit rattle can job, but it'll get you thinking of what a flat black e30 might look like...

I don't like the whole car, but satin black is alright.

I don't think your car could pull it off.

I dont think it would look good on any BMW. It belongs on a hot rod like you said.

There are many other plans to go along with the flat black, I think when all is said and done, it would look pretty good.

IMO it can look good on a e30. if you have some plans to go w/ it,I say go for it BUT prep it well and take your time. Its easy to make it look like crap.

"Flat Black" is for brokedown POS EF civics, Hachis and 240s. Not BMWs. My 2 cents.

Any of which cars I'd rather own over an early 318i like yours.
