When people ask why I did a swap I tell them cause its my f*****g car and it's America thats why. Dont like it? Go spend your hard earned money, buy an M3 and keep it stock. Good for you. Those same people usually ask for a ride. Lol. I also have a 88' 325i and for the life of me I don't understand why anyone would modify a M20?? But I don't care cause it's their car and they can do whatever they want to it. Good for them. I'm only on this earth for a short time and I'm going to do what makes me happy and driving the only Turbo Charged LSX E30 M3 in the world that i built with my own two hands does that.... I guess I'm weird. I have had over 30 cars with a handful rarer than a E30 M3 so maybe that plays into it too.

Oh, I used to be one of them. I had plans of an LSx swap, 600hp RB26, etc, etc. But I was 16 at the time. Unless you're drag racing, or doing competitive road racing, there's really no point in having a stupid amount of power. It's kind of like putting on massive brakes with skinny ass stretched all seasons. Ain't gonna do ya no good if you can't make use of it.

So I guess all the turbo m20s, S54s, s14s, s38s all wasted their time cause high hp can't be used...lol...

                Oh my gawd, the insanity.

Regardless what OWNERS do to their vehicles M3s will always command a premium because supply <demand. If you want one go work hard and buy one. It's really not t hat complicated.

Rturbo 930. Since you like porsches...Have you ever heard of the porsche yellowbird? In 87' it was 470hp in one of the most unforgiving chassis ever. It was one of the hardest vehicles to drive. Good thing those guys didn't have your mindset. It would of never been made...too much HP....can't be used.

I think you missed this part:
Unless you're drag racing, or doing competitive road racing,
If you've got the talent to handle that amount of power in a light chassis, then go for it... but most people don't, me included.

(An S38 gets a pass, just looks sexy)

+1. I look for that "X" on the top right corner to close that 'motor swapped M3' page just like closing a pop-up ad, lol. The bottom line is, it's your car and your money.

It's actually a RUF CTR, not a Porsche. It's a 911 turbo chassis, which RUF then turned into a slippery monster. Yellowbird was the name given to it by Road and Track when testing the car.

                          Just to clarify.

Lets be real-- a large reason why m3s get engine swapped is because the s14 blows, and the owner doesnt have $7,000 laying around to rebuild it. Or cant be bothered to spend months sourcing the parts. Its not like rebuilding an m20.
                              Current:

Putting cages in, and swapping v8 motors should be done to the non-M cars. By that point your so highly modified, that all you have is a non-M car with wider flares..etc.
