Isn't there a BMW "poison storage" somewhere? Where all their weird prototypes and one off cars like the E30 and E90 go just to be kept there?

Yeh, the E30 I have was apparently in such a BMW storage.

BMW wanted a 2002 Turbo that someone in Canada had, but they'd only trade it for some cars. So BMW traded them a bunch of neat and weird cars out of their storage. Mine was a 325e with an M3 interior, not sure what else since the car didn't have much info on it. (other than being weirdly low KMs) I got it off a wholesaler who got it at an estate sale when the guy died. It had sat outside for years when I got it.

Oh wow thats crazy, but I did a little research of my Own and found this.

V16 out of an E32, Engine was so big that the radiator was in the trunk and side vents had to be added, pretty interesting. And i think it was hooked up to a 6 speed as well, not sure on that tho.

Imagine getting your hands on one of those BMW Individual cars...Man would that be awesome! That official e30 truck looks pretty shoddy, given BMW made the damn thing....

There was a feature on this car in bimmer mag a few years back. I'll have to see if I still have the issue

For what it's worth, I wish the German automakers started building full-size vehicles. What the big three produce is a joke when you compare build quality, but if you need a full-size diesel pick-up, what's the alternative? And it's not like they can't do it - that v10 Diesel VW makes is a monster.

I'm pretty sure the guys in the M division just "borrowed" an E30, cut off the roof and used it to haul around shit. It wasn't supposed to look pretty.

V16.. wow. when a V12 isn't enough! I wonder what that thing got, maybe 4mpg? haha.

To be fair, the guy never said that his pickup was one of the 2 factory authorized ones.
