Is it broken off in something? If there's enough bolt protruding from the surface, try a stud puller.

there wasn't to begin with...after drilling a hole in the center, it's farther in that it started. that could have worked though.

Then just drill it out oversize, tap it, and use an oversized bolt.

...that'll be last resort. for now i have faith that i'm going to find something that'll bite that hard ass bolt...the drill bit wouldn't even cut. took me 20 min to drill 5-6 mm!

Try a new titanium drill bit.

                  I recently had a problem...

I bought this to guide my pilot hole, works with bolts sheared above, flush, or below the surface:

Then I bought more cobalt drill bits, left hand drill if you can find them in the hopes that the bolt will unscrew itself during drilling from the vibration.

Then I bought these to extract the bolt:
                  http://www.sears.com/sr/javasr/produ...id=00952152000

The vibration for drilling for an hour or two loosened mine, so the extractors hardly even dug in when I twisted it out.

                  Hope this helps.

GEt a left handed drill bit and it will drill it out for you. i did it today on a tranny pan bolt that someone broke.
