cars are too disposable now, and with companies looking at profit and quantity over anything else you can see why there are so many new models. Look at what apple's done since Jobs passed away: ipad mini, iphone 5, 5s, 5c... pretty much just different versions of the exact same thing. also, the classic car has been dead since the mid 90's. in twenty years, none of these cars are going to be cared about/ sought after like our pre 90's bimmers are today. plus just imagine all those electrical problems... you think the e36 is bad....wooooo

I won't be able to to ever afford these for a bit but was looking around the specs.

It says that the curb weight roughly around 3,500 pounds

At least on the f8bimmerpost, the m3/4 is claimed to have around 3,300 pounds

The bigger m4 is 200 pounds lighter and produces 100hp more. The point of this post is to ask what's the justification for getting an m235i over an m4 beyond it being a bit smaller and cheaper? Im just not seeing this as the modern equivalent to a 2002 or e30.

              Yep, M235i. 320 hp, 330 lb ft, 1/4 mile in 13.0@106.

I saw one for the first time this morning in PA. I was on the highway in my v8 e30, it would have been a PERFECT match if we could have ran, but there was just too much traffic.

Said everyone in the 90's. Just substitute 'pre 70's' for 'pre 90's'.

A little bird told me that an M235i might be at the Vintage. I'm interested in seeing it up close.

the 2 looks a heck of a lot better than the 1 did. I hated the bugeyed look of the 1.

as far as new BMWs sucking, yeah, they aren't too exciting - but I'd still rather drive a 2014 BMW than a 2014 Ford/Chrysler/Toyota.

as far as electronics, it's a lot easier to diagnose a newer car than a 1990 OBD1 car where the trouble codes basically mean nothing and can't tell you which sensor is failing or why. Maybe I'm just old but these days I'd rather mod my cars by plugging in a laptop and changing software than crawling around in the dirt fixing greasy broken shit..

in 20 years these cars will have already been dust in the wind for 10 years because theyre made of shit.
