bt guyz how u supposd 2 gangsta leen widout n armrest?

Honestly though I've debated the same question, so far haven't pulled the trigger. Maybe if I found one in mint shape I'd give it a try, especially as I find myself using the stock e46 one all the time in my daily.

I like mine pretty well, the cup holder is designed for rear passengers but I decided install it forward.

Didn't realize how much more comfortable a drive can be when you can simply lean right and rest your shoulder, that may sound silly but Ill never remove mine.

Though it gets in the way when "sport" driving, you can alleviate that pain by just sliding the armrest off. The mount really is not much taller than the console. As stated before, there is no substitute for an armrest once you have one. So, Husco.

No Husco...had one on the E28 and it was loose so it slid forward and backward all the time. And if you actually used the cup holder, the cup was in your way even on an auto.

As far as being in the way, I guess it's a matter of preference.

You can actually slide Husco backwards to gain some clearance. You can adjust it all the way to the far back.

I have mine and I love using it as arm rest.

Yours was sloppy because it is missing parts. Mine slides back and forth but there is a piece of plastic on the rail that makes it pretty tight.

I love mine, slide forward an back with no problem at all. As for the cup holders both have the drop down hangers, but I only use the first one. As for me it is never in the way even when sport driving with my sports trans aka dogleg. Great shape an the best part about it was got it out of a car I parted.

Just installed mine today and I'm not sure how I like it yet. Cupholders are sorta flimsy and get in the way if you mount it with them facing forward. As far as clearance without the cup holders it seems pretty good imo. I also have a taller knob/shifter and I have yet to do much driving with it though.

No husco. I always hated mine. It always got in the way when I was shifting.

I had one when I originally got my car. I sort of miss it - the armrest was nice to have, as was the cup holder. I don't think it would really get in the way of the shifter, but it was wearing out so I took it off.
