Nissan S14/S15 cars. If only fucktard drifters would quit trashing them and killing off their availability because I really, really, really want one. An FC RX7 would make me happy too, though.
basically anything rwd or awd from the late '80s to early '00s will be "classics." Any exception will be something like the Toyota Celica GTS or any unmodified Honda/acura Vtak thingsComment

e30 325is = cult car
e30 m3 = classic that significantly appreciates over time
maybe i'm not using good terminology to distinguish between the twoComment

Yeah, it's hard to define a "classic" from a "cult" car. I'm just looking at what the chassis design is. Guys seem to have this compulsion to modify cars to their liking anyway so whatever model is considered a classic is usually a moot point; some people see a clean e30 m3 as an awesome car just the way it is and others only see them as a base for a ridiculous engine swap. In the end it comes down to the individual and what they like. There's so many cool cars out there and they all have a fan base, so I don't think there's a distinguished few that will be "classics," only cars that are "better."Comment

what about the early miatas? They can be had for cheap but I have a feeling they will start becoming like the e30s harder and harder to find clean examples.Comment

Think of the price difference between a 1990ish
325is
mtech2 cabrio
m3
In the usdm the mtech2 cabrio (with an auto) was the most expensive new and had the lowest production value. However in terms of value it's much closer to a clean 325is than an m3 because of "pedigree"
The main point of this thread is to illustrate what cars are a great buy as an investment.
That all said some models in my list contradict this so i'd probably have to shift them around. I'd also welcome any feedback on asian and american cars since i'm mostly clueless on them :wgaf: lol j/kComment
