no it can't - ask me how I know:)

I got stopped for "failure to display" and it was in the window... so you just should put it on. look at the pics i post- my front plate is on all of them. it looks ghey as hell, but i don't want to mess with this kind of shit. also, i gather that the cops want a front plate on cars so the lazer rader has a better reflective/flat surface to bounce the signal off of.

its just another shitty oregon law, oh well... fortunately its more of a hastle then a serious problem.

      Uhh, that's why it's called a "fix-it" ticket.

because the point of it is supposed to make you fix the problem...

And I'm supprised it was only $225 for no proof of insurrance. My last speeding ticket, I couldn't find my most recent insurance card, so he added that to the ticket. The speeding part was a hundred something bucks. The no inssurance part was over four hundred. ouch

I'd rather run no front plate at all than a euro plate, they are ugly to me. The difference between a normal, legal front plate, and an illegal euro plate (looks wise) is minimal. Just run no plate or the legal plate.

having no front plate just gives the cops a reason to pull you over and hassle you. The reason they do pull you over is to check and see if they can give you a bigger ticket.

oh, and on the euro plate, aside from them looking like crap... it just draws more attention to the fact that you aren't displaying the correct plate.

Exactly. It is not like you are fooling any cops by running a euro front plate instead of the legal front plate.

Very true. I just think its a step in a non-shooting-prevention direction. but what the shite do I know?

I like my euro plate too. I got pulled over once for mine, but it was 1:00 AM on new years day and I was the only car on the road. All I got was a warning and it wasn't even written up. I literally talked to him for ~45 seconds before I left. lol My plate says the same as my OR plate though, so...

What I've been thinking, is if it says the same thing as your normal plate and you put your tags on it, I wonder if they will hassle you as much. The plates are only there for identification and to make sure your registration is up to date, so if both are showed, I don't see much of a problem. Granted, it's not a state issued plate so the numbers could be fake, but I bet if you got pulled over, the cop would be more lenient.

You get $225 for not having insurance?!?! Jesus I got $7.50, renewed my insurance... took it to court and they dropped the $7.50 charge.

                        Wow.... Florida's good for something.

FL's best thing is no inspections.

Euro plates aren't worth the hassle, keep it legal.
