Just wondering if anyone else here likes rusted cars. Im thinking of rusting my next project, not sure what its going to be. Kind of leaning towards e28 but then again, it has been done quite a lot of people (like rusty slammington, aaron, and etc...) SO now i started thinking more about Datsun 510 (sedan), if anyone knows any other cars that look sick when rusted let me know.

Well, yeah, patina is what i kind of had in mind.
If i had a spra or an ae86 i would most likely make it a track car, dont think i would ever rust something like that. I was actually browsing through the web just now and another car came to mind, an old 60s/70s beetle.

No.
They don't look good.
They look unkempt, rusty, unloved, like beaters, broken, forgotten, like they have shitty owners, and most of all a WASTE of a perfectly good car.
Do it it a dori slut. They look "good" in pictures, but that's because of photoshop. In real life they look like an absolute waste.

Yeah, I'm with the other guys. If the paint is already fucked on your car, and it has no value as a classic, then the rusted/patina'd thing is alright. It's a cheap way to look cool to certain types for a month or two. Get yourself a sweet (:nice:) 95 honda civic to do that to.Originally posted by Andy.BWhenever I am about to make a particularly questionable decision regarding a worryingly cheap diy solution, I just ask myself, "What would Ether-D do?"

I would rock a patina car. I would love a patina finished 50's f-100 with a big ol motor basically a shop truck..
