Racial comments.

We're all from different walks of life, ethinic backgrounds, religious followings, regions of the world, economic classes, moral upbringings.

For some strange reason, there are some people that seem to forget that.

This is truly a melting pot of so many different cultures, and to see it really impresses me.

What doesn't impress me is seeing pointless, ignorant racial comments in posts that have absolutely no meaning, backing, or purpose to be in the post.

I'm all for teasing one another, having a good laugh - even racial jokes - we've all told them, we've all laughed at them. There's nothing wrong with a good joke - if we can't make fun of ourselves and each other, what fun would life be?

But making a negative racial comment for no reason at all is out of line, uncalled for, and WON'T be tolerated. If I see one myself, you'll get a PM warning and the post will be immediately deleted. If I see you do it again, you're off. Fuck time outs, fuck probation. You shouldn't even do it once, but twice is making a fool out of me as well as yourself.

Use your heads. There's far, far too many people on here and no room to try and play the supremacy game. Have your fun, but do it with a sliver of class.

PS: before anyone gets any ideas, I'm a white, average weight, average height, average build, middle class guy. AKA the last guy that could take offense to all the racial shit going on. So if I'm pissed...imagine how someone from one of the backgrounds you've decided to slander feels.

Glad you brought this to our attention....I've noticed some commentary which seemed a bit harsh in this regard. We are all here because we have a common interest. Racial comments and bashing does nothing positive for it.

If you want to race-bash to your heart's content, head over to the Rants & Raves page of Craigslist. Plenty of hard-edged attitude over there.

If I look back one generation, I find links to two countries. If I go back another generation, it's three countries. One more generation, I'm looking at five countries.

Does this make me 20% English, 20% Scottish, 20% Mauritian, 20% Rhodesian, and 20% South African?

No, I'm a white American citizen who was born elsewhere and lives here now.

I'm actually a white American citizen who was born in southern Africa --- does that make me a white African-American? No.

No sensible adult can trace his line back five generations and claim ownership of those roots. That's just silly.

well thats not entirely true, i'v got a copy of my family tree and it heads straight back to a pure bred arien...

as for the racial comments, they can be funny in jokes, as long as everyone can laugh at them. i personaly don't take offence to any white jokes, or take offence to pretty much anything aimed at me, but when somone aims somthing at somone else i get pissed off. keep it to yourself if your a racist bastard.
