Teardrop camper behind E30. Anyone done it?

Not a tear drop camper but I have used Uhual's 5'x8' trailer (2nd smallest) and packed it to the brim to help a friend move. His bed, furniture, computer, life time worth of porn, and the lot from San Diego all the way to nashville. The m20 instantly felt like an m42 but beyond some steep slopes, in 2nd gear, the 325i made it cross country without a hitch and on average probably -5-8 in mpg.

Everything you need to camp for weeks on end can fit in your trunk, including a queen size air mattress, 3 pillows, a sleeping bag and tent. Camp stove, 5gal clean water tank. Why even bother with a camper. Even with carrying a toolbox and jack to fix whatever you need to on the side of the road, thousands of miles from home. Even with all of your clothing (10 days worth), several pairs of shoes and rain gear. Even with a TON of stuff you really don't need, but brought anyways.

Everything can fit. I've carried 10 passengers worth of luggage in my trunk plus a 3 pillows, a tent and an inflatable mattress. The van didn't have space to necessitate any luggage, so I was the mule

Same thing here. Went for a week in November. Removed front seat. Firewood went in its place. All my food and gear was on the back seat. Don't even think I used the trunk
