Never bought parts that aren't OEM. Prices are sooooo tempting.
I need to replace my ebrake cables / shoes. Anyone have any experience with this stuff, or should I just pay the $100 vs the $30 RockAuto will cost? $70 could be put towards other stuff.

OE= Original equipment.Any part sold or preinstalled on a car made by BMW
OEM= Original equipment manufacturer.this is the company that makes the OE product for BMW to put their stamp on. ie Meyle, Lemfroder, Mann, Sachs, Bosch, Girling, etc. the list goes on.
That's why it costs less to, for example, buy a shock for an e36, made by Sachs, from a parts supplier like rock auto or another site, than it is to buy a 'BMW' shock from the dealer parts counter.
They are the exact same product, both made by Sachs, even made in the same factory usually, only that dealer shock has a roundel printed somewhere on it, and doesn't have all the same Sachs labels.
You iX guys seem to have a version of the ///M tax.
And they love to brag about it...
It's odd that rockauto seems to have done away with Euro parts on the main catalog, but the check box exists on mobile, while not actually adding Euro models.
Select your vehicle from the left side menu on rockauto.com, and look for the last digits in the URL after you have it selected. Copy and paste that after the "carcode=" part of the URL that markseven posted.
