These lights look nothing like Altezza....lol. the clear ebay lights you posted aren't Altezza either. All my cars have smoked lights because I like the look. I think the beauty is that they are correct German smoked lights...not just spray painted stock lights. I went back to stock on my m tech but couldn't stand the amber/red/white on macao blue colors clashing. It made the car look really dated. With Startec/mhw's the cars are still period correct just a lot cooler and aggressive IMO. I do think stock tails look fine on red cars though. I find it peculiar you would post a thread about it. I'm not fond of 4dr's or iX's (especially in CA) but I don't post threads about it. We can't all like the same things.

Like a lot of things old-BMW related (mostly E34s in general), I didn't like them at first but then they started growing on me the more I saw cars with them that I liked.

The one thing I can't foresee ever growing on me are Bro-bet Type As but that's just me...

I like my Startecs on my 323i and I like my MHWs on my M-Tech.

I like them because they look good not because they're rare.

I have run them for over 11 years on my lachssilber m3. Stock tails look terrible in comparison on this color... But a white car looks better with red tails. It's not an absolute yes or no to how they look. Each car is unique.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE them...hard to find a set not cracked and over 400.00. FLG had a MINT set then he fucked them up :(
