I picked Alpina, if I had to keep it that's what i would probabaly prefer, just because I've known people with M3s but never an Alpina. Though if I had my choice of the two for free, and could sell it, M3 all the way, I'd be rich if I had that much money.

the problem with this thread is that it there wasn't enough research done to compare apples to apples. with what is offered i would pick the evo. however, the real question should be evo vs alpina b6 3.5s.

in this case i would take the alpina. only 62 made and it will kick the evo's ass horsepower wise.

I also saw this car at Vintage. With all due respect to the Alpina as it is a very cool car, I'd take the M3. The M3 is not just an Evo...it's a Sport Evolution (Evo 3). The best of the best from BMW. It has the pedigree. Looks are subjective but I think M tech 1's look better than early Alpina's like this one.
