I've got 2 kids, including my 4 year old son who is obsessed with the e30. He's routinely riding shotgun in a car seat next to me.

I have received hand made items a few times. Best one so fare was a clock made out of a brake rotor. If you can make something cool that car related I would dig that.
Besides that I drive an e34 touring (dont own an e30 right now sadly), Im into carpentry, and basically anything I can make using my two hands hahaha
